MY STORY

 

Brian Bomster-Jabs is a Korean American, Baltimore-based artist known for his versatility in digital illustration, live interactive painting, murals, photography, and branding. From an early age, Brian’s passion for art was undeniable. You could always find him at the drawing table, refining his craft. That dedication has opened many doors, allowing his artwork to reach and inspire audiences far and wide. Brian got an early start by attending the prestigious Carver Center for Arts and Technology in high school, where he honed foundational skills that continue to shape his work today.

 

He later graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts, where he discovered the synergy between painting, illustration, photography, and graphic design. Influenced by his love of sports, sneakers, anime, and cannabis culture, Brian’s work often blends vibrant energy with thought-provoking themes. Whether through a mural, painting, or digital illustration, he aims to evoke emotion and spark reflection in everyone who encounters his art.

 

Brian’s creative journey is deeply personal. As a Korean adoptee born with a cleft lip and palate, he understands firsthand how transformative surgery can be. Partnering with Operation Smile, Brian donates a portion of proceeds from every mural and painting to fund surgeries for children in need. To date, his work has helped change the lives of 14 children, and his ultimate goal is to impact a million more through his art. For Brian, art is about more than just creativity, it’s about creating smiles and changing lives.
